Vitamins And Supplements

We offer a selection of vitamins and supplements to augment our weight loss programs and hormone therapy services, addressing deficiencies, boosting energy, and promoting overall wellness and vitality.

Vitamins and supplements

Vitamin B12 Injections

Vitamin B12 is essential for red blood cell production, DNA synthesis, and neurological function. Deficiencies are common in older patients, patients on GERD medication, post bariatric patients, GLP-1 weight loss patients, and in patients who are vegetarian or vegan.

B12 injections correct or prevent deficiencies by directly delivering the vitamin to the body for 100% absorption, bypassing the digestive system. B12 injections help improve energy levels, metabolism, mood, brain function, and nerve health by supporting red blood cell production, DNA synthesis, and neurotransmitter balance.

Vitamin B12 injections can be a valuable adjunct to patients with vitamin B12 deficiency, or at risk for deficiency, and patients on GLP-1 medication for weight loss (citation #1).

"Skinny Shot" Injections (MIC B12)

Skinny Shot injections, also known as MIC B12, combine Methionine, Inositol, Choline, and high-dose Vitamin B12 in a lipotropic formula, meaning a  formula that promotes fat utilization and metabolism.

Skinny Shot injections promote fat breakdown, liver detoxification, and energy production, facilitating weight loss by mobilizing stored fats and improving metabolic efficiency.

We utilize MIC B12 injections as an adjunct to our GLP-1 weight loss program. MIC B12 injections work synergistically with GLP-1 medications to boost metabolism, increase fat burning, and enhance energy (citation #2).

NAD+ Injections

NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in all living cells. Its most important function is facilitating the conversion of the food we eat into ATP, which is the primary source of energy for nearly all body functions. Additionally, NAD+ aids in DNA repair and may have anti-aging effects.

Natural NAD+ levels diminish with age. Studies report that NAD+ levels decrease by up to 50% by age 50 (citation#3). (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in all living cells. Its most important function is facilitating the conversion of the food we eat into ATP, which is the primary source of energy for nearly all body functions. It is believed that the natural decline in NAD+ levels with age is a significant contributor to age-related lower energy levels (citation #4).

NAD+ injections boost energy, support anti-aging, and improve cognitive and metabolic health (citation #5). At MD Total Wellness, we use NAD+ in GLP-1 weight loss and hormone therapy patients to augment energy and optimize overall wellness.

Oral Supplements

The one oral supplement we offer is Wellbel for hair health. Wellbel addresses deficiencies that can affect hair health and supplies key ingredients known to support hair growth and follicle health. Ingredients include biotin, saw palmetto, horsetail extract, and MSM (methylsulfonylmethane).

Wellbel hair supplements can strengthen hair follicles, reduce thinning, promote growth, and improve scalp health.

At MD Total Wellness we use Wellbel as a stand-alone hair health supplement to help prevent hair loss in patients taking GLP-1 medications, and as a part of hair restoration treatment plan uses Alma TED.
